This sweet girl should not still be in rescue. Misty is a very cute, petite girl who is about 6 years old. She is a happy girl, who loves all people and has a smile for everyone. She prances when she walks. She gets along great with other dogs, but does not do well with cats. She is obedient and knows the basic commands. She has a good energy level and loves to get out for walks. Misty is terrified of fireworks, loud noises - including thunderstorms. She does tend to get anxious if left outside alone for too long, so Misty will need a home where she can be inside as much as she wants. True to the nature of the Goldens, Misty just wants to be with her people. Misty has diabetes, and needs insulin shots twice daily - every 12 hours. She will need to be fed just before her shots.

Misty has been in a foster home for awhile now, and is doing great! Kellee (Misty's foster Mom) has a son that is diabetic, and it has been a good bonding experience for those two. Cameron is helping to give Misty her shots. Here is what Kellee has to say about Misty.......

Misty has been in our home for about 4 months and of the many dogs we have fostered over the years she is definitely one of the sweetest and most obedient. She has fit right in with our dogs and has not had any problems with them. She loves to fetch tennis balls, she brings them back every time and will drop it either in to my hand and at my feet every time. We recently put out our doggie pool and she loves retrieving the balls out of the water as well. She loves to go on walks and gets very excited when she sees her leash. She doesn’t pull she stays at your side and rarely barks at other dogs that may bark at her, it’s completely effortless and a Pleasure.
She is so sweet and loving and like all Goldens she is happiest when she is with her people. Her shots are very easy to give, you call her over and she sits when she sees the syringe. It takes a couple of seconds and then it’s done for the next 12 hours. She is housebroken, but she does need to go out and potty more than most dogs, as a dog with diabetes drinks more water.
