This
boy was named for the big smiles
he gives you on a daily basis!
Smiley was named by a shelter
employee who took a liking to
this sweet boy. He does
not look much like a Golden, but
we could not resist giving him a
chance. Smiley originally came
to CGRR in the fall of 2003, and
was adopted by a family that
loved him. As things
sometimes go, there was a
drastic change in their lives
and they had to bring Smiley
back to the rescue. He is about
6-7 years old and is a wonderful
companion. Smiley is
housetrained, great with kids,
other dogs and has lived with
cats. We feel Smiley would do
better in a home with another
dog, as he seems to be more
confident with another dog
around, plus he loves having a
doggie buddy. He is a quiet boy,
who is timid in new situations.
He loves routine, and once you
show him what is expected, he
does well. Smiley would
benefit from daily walks, and
getting out a bit more to help
build his confidence up. He
definitely needs to be an inside
dog and he is wonderful in the
house. He is hard to get
pictures of, because as soon as
you hold up the camera, he acts
like he is in trouble......but
we did get one of him as he was
starting to smile. He does a
full-on smile.....bares all his
teeth and it's almost like he is
trying to talk to you. He also
has these ears that seem to lay
in different directions at
times. He makes us smile every
day! Come meet this sweet
boy.....you will love him!
