Ricky is a very sweet 5 year old English Cream Golden. He was returned to CGRR due to him having separation anxiety. Ricky was adopted as a pup , and the folks who adopted him were active, going on lots of walks/hikes, going camping, and kept him busy. They had a couple of kids and their routine changed, as it does with young ones. We are not sure what exactly changed, but we feel that Ricky may not have been getting exercised enough, and kind of took a back seat. He did live with 2 other dogs, but that did not help his anxieties. He would get destructive when left alone. He needs to gain some self confidence.
Read MoreNash is a beautiful 2-year-old boy who has had two homes already. We don’t know anything about his first home. The woman who brought him to us only had him for 6 months. She did not socialize him at all with other dogs, as she was nervous about what his reaction would be. She told us that Nash was a little too much dog for her.
Read MoreIt has been a bit of a stressful month at CGRR. Our special needs boy Shiloh had a seizure last month and another seizure the first week of August. This seizure lasted just over three minutes and was quite violent. We took Shiloh to the ER and while the doctor was examining him, he had another seizure, so they kept him overnight. They started him on a pretty hefty dose of Keppra and phenobarbital. After meeting with the neurologist, the next week, it was decided to do another MRI on to see if there were any significant changes in his brain. They also did a CSF tap.
