Scout -- ADOPTED

Scout is a very sweet Golden girl, who turns 6 years old this month. She is housetrained and knows basic commands, but is a bit rusty in performing them. She will not bolt through doors or gates if you tell her “back", then have her wait for your permission to go through.
She walks well on leash, tends to hit the end of the leash, but does not pull. When meeting other dogs on the walk, she will watch, and may bark, but does not approach. She likes to play, but is more of a Golden "Receiver!"

      Mocha -- ADOPTED

Meet Mocha, a very sweet 7-8 year old girl, who came to CGRR last spring.  She had been used for breeding, although we were told she only had a couple of litters. Her life was not the best as she was kept pretty isolated, and definitely not part of the family. She was fostered for a while, by Jerry and Lorene, who showed this girl what a real home was like. She did get adopted and was with a wonderful family we knew. We thought this would be her furrever home, but because Mocha had been kept isolated, she was not prepared for a busy family life, and unfortunately, she was not comfortable around the toddler.

      Bella -- ADOPTED

Bella is our latest non-Golden resident. She is a wonderful 5-year-old German Shorthair Pointer that came in with Daisy. We didn't want to take a chance that Bella would end up in a shelter, so we took them both. Bella is a fun dog who is very tolerant of crazy Daisy! This girl is fun to play with...she is great at catching balls mid-air. She likes to cuddle, and enjoys her dog bed.

      Otto -- ADOPTED

Herman and Otto came to CGRR after their owners passed away. They are beautiful, sweet boys, who were well taken care of.  Herman was adopted.
Otto is 4 years old, and he is silly and goofy. He loves to play, and he can be quite the chewer. Otto hates fireworks and thunderstorms; he just needs a quiet space.

Herman and Otto came to CGRR after their owners passed away. They are beautiful, sweet boys, who were well taken care of.  Herman is 7 years old, and is a typical sweet senior boy. He is pretty chill, and enjoys a good belly rub, and playing fetch at times. He just wants to be with his people.

      Kairo -- ADOPTED

Kairo is a beautiful 18-month-old boy, who has had 3 homes - that we know of.  His last home was for only a, month. Kairo needs to land in a home where he can feel safe and loved. He doesn't know much, as far as commands, but Steve has started to work with him and he makes good eye contact, and is very trainable, he just needs someone to invest some time in him. He does need work on leash.  He is good with other dogs...not sure about cats. He is housetrained, and likes to cuddle!

      Millie -- ADOPTED

Millie is an 18-month-old, energetic young girl. She came from a rural environment where she was left alone too much, and as a growing pup, was bored, and was a bit destructive. She did not have many rules, or the structure a puppy needs. She was surrendered to us because she got out and got after the neighbors’ chickens.

      Jaxson -- ADOPTED

Jax is a very sweet eight-year-old boy, whose owners were getting a divorce. Both were moving and could not keep him. Jax was a house dog and knows some basic commands. He is good with other dogs and cats are okay too. He would do best in a home with older or no children. He has not been around toddlers much, and we were told they seem to make him a bit nervous.

Many of you may remember Marley, who originally came to CGRR in April of 2023, with another Golden named Millie.  Marley is one of the largest Goldens we have ever received.... weighing in at 133 pounds! Both dogs had been outside dogs, keeping each other company.

      Miss Mona -- ADOPTED

Meet Mona, a very sweet and quiet English Cream  girl. She came from a shelter so we have no history on her. She was quite thin when she first arrived. She has a toe missing on her left front foot. Someone had taken care of things, as there were still a couple of stitches in the foot. The foot looks good and does not slow her down at all.

      Homer -- ADOPTED

            "Homer" for the holidays
Doh! We recently received Homer from a local Shelter. This 2yr old boy is a full of life little guy!  At only 35lbs, he is a lot of golden. He was adopted out from the shelter but the person brought him back, as he was too much for her.   When he arrived, he would just run and jump on you full force and for a little guy it was still like a rocket hitting a wall.
