Little Girl Blue

This vivacious little girl is 3 years old. In her previous home she was with several other Goldens, including her siblings in a kind of a hoarding situation. Because of this, her social skills with humans were limited and she tends to be a bit cautious of new people. On the other hand, being around 17 other dogs she was well socialized with other dogs. Timid at first, once she gets to know you, she can be affectionate and quite a Velcro dog. She tends to want to be where you’re at. She is a smaller golden, what we refer to as a field golden, weighing between 45-50 pounds. She is crate trained, but not totally house trained. Although she was in a house, getting out for regular potty breaks was not always in the schedule. She is quick to learn however, and with routine and schedule, she will learn that going outside is preferred. Since we have had her, she has improved her manners and with diligence she quickly learns. She is good with other dogs, and perhaps another pooch could help show her the ropes. Blue and Trip have never been around young kids, so we feel a home with older or no children would be best. Blue needs someone who is willing to work with her, and show her a real dog’s life. Steve will be happy to throw in a couple training sessions in your home, to help Blue get off to a good start. Could you be the one to help this girl blossom?
